FAQ

Most frequent questions and answers

There are several reasons why it’s better to have your house washed by a professional:

  • Safety: Power washing equipment is powerful and can be dangerous if used improperly. Professionals have the training and experience to use the equipment safely and avoid accidents.
  • Effectiveness: Professionals have the knowledge and experience to know the right pressure setting and cleaning solution for different surfaces. They can use the right technique to clean your house effectively without causing any damage.
  • Time-saving: Power washing your house is a time-consuming task, and professionals can do it in a shorter time period than someone who is not experienced.
  • Proper equipment: Professionals use commercial-grade equipment, which is much more powerful than the equipment that is available for purchase or rent. This equipment is more effective at cleaning surfaces and can reach higher places and tight corners.
  • Guaranteed results: Professional power washing companies usually provide a satisfaction guarantee. This means if you are not happy with the results, they will return to the property and redo the work at no additional charge.

Overall, hiring a professional power washing company to clean your house is a cost-effective and efficient way to ensure that your property is cleaned effectively and safely.

Pressure washing is a method of cleaning surfaces using high-pressure water. This method is typically used for cleaning hard surfaces such as driveways, sidewalks, decks, and patios. The high-pressure water is powerful enough to remove dirt, grime, and other buildup from these surfaces. Pressure Washing (also known as Power Washing) is not the same as Soft Washing, which uses low pressure + detergents to clean. One thing to note: vinyl houses should NEVER be pressure washed, they should be soft washed.

Pressure washing can effectively remove dirt, grime, and other buildup from hard surfaces, improving the overall appearance of your property. It can also help to extend the life of your surfaces by removing harmful substances that can cause damage over time.

Exterior house washing, also known as soft washing, is a method of cleaning the exterior of a house using a low-pressure spray and a cleaning solution, rather than high-pressure water. The cleaning solution used in soft washing is specifically designed to break down and remove dirt, stains, mold, and other buildup on the surface.

Soft washing is considered a safer alternative to pressure washing because it uses a low-pressure spray, which is less likely to cause damage to the surface of the house. The low-pressure spray also allows the cleaning solution to penetrate the surface, effectively removing stains and other buildup. This method is commonly used for cleaning roofs, siding, stucco, brick, and other exterior surfaces.

Exterior house washing also includes cleaning of gutters, eaves and soffits, window frames, and other components of the house exterior. This method can be used for cleaning both residential and commercial properties.

Overall, exterior house washing is a safe and effective method for cleaning the exterior of a house, and can help to improve the overall appearance of the property and enhance its curb appeal. Click here to learn more about our House Washing service.

Soft washing can effectively remove dirt, stains, mold, and other buildup from delicate surfaces without causing damage due to high pressure. Also, soft washing lasts about 4-6 times longer than pressure washing. House Washing (siding) and Roof Cleaning should always be done via Soft Wash, they should never be washed using high pressure.

ProClean Pressure Washing can clean a variety of surfaces including driveways, sidewalks, decks, patios, concrete, roofs, siding, stucco, brick, and more.

The frequency of cleaning will depend on the type of surface and the level of use and exposure to the elements. We recommend having your surfaces cleaned once a year, or more frequently if they are in shaded or tree covered areas that foster growth of algae, mold, and moss.

The cost of cleaning will depend on the type and size of the surfaces being cleaned. Check out our Pricing page to learn more. Or better yet, contact us for a fast and free estimate — 484-793-3554

Professional Pressure Washing Companies like ProClean have extensive training and expensive equipment to get the job done safely and effectively. Trying to scoot a 32′ ladder around your house and blast super high pressure water just a few inches away from your face and 30 feet up is extremely dangerous. Did you know that each year there are about 160,000 emergency room visits and 300 deaths caused by ladder accidents? Also, take a minute to visualize just how long it would take you to wash your whole house. One of our customers tried to DIY “just the dirty parts” of his house and the result was so bad and streaky it took him 3 full days of trying to fix it! (and he still wound up calling us). Also, and this might be the most important question — is DIY method of cleaning even effective? Using just water, even when blasted at high pressure, will not kill the algae at its root. It’s equivalent to just mowing over the weeds and not killing the roots of the weeds — they will grow back within weeks. Well, that green stuff on your house is the same — it has a living root system. It needs to be properly treated and rinsed away for it to stay gone for good. And lastly, water sprayed at high pressure causes damage. Have you ever seen zig zag marks on the side of a house or on a concrete walkway? Or worse, broken pieces of the vinyl siding? Well that was mr. or mrs. homeowner trying to do it themselves. The correct method for washing the siding of your house is to have it Professionally Soft Washed.
